Recipe: Mezcal Hibiscus Agua Fresca

The properties of mezcal allow it to be a versatile drink to mix and prepare endless combinations and to experience new flavors through tasting to achieve different culinary experiences.

We present the recipe for mezcal hibiscus fresh water (ingredients for one serving):

  • 2 oz Mezcal Sacrificio Joven
  • 2 oz Hibiscus syrup
  • 1 oz agave syrup
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Orange wedge, cardamom seeds and / or a touch of cinnamon
  • Cubed ice
  • Sea salt

 

To prepare:

To obtain hibiscus syrup you can boil 130 grams of hibiscus leaves in 2 cups of water then take to the grill and reduce the heat until it is reduced. Then add the agave syrup and chill.

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake with ice for a few seconds. Strain the result into a tall glass and decorate with orange wedges, cardamom seeds and / or a touch of cinnamon.
